Family Council Chair

Andrew D. Pitcairn is the great grandson of entrepreneur and industrialist John Pitcairn and a descendant of the Harold F. Pitcairn branch. Andrew is the Chair of the Pitcairn Family Council, a role he has held since 2010, and has served as a member since 2007. The Pitcairn Family Council was one of the first in the nation, established in 1982 as a platform for identifying family talent, educating family members about the operating business, identifying and implementing solutions for family connectedness, and interfacing directors, management and owners, among other duties.

A member of the Pitcairn Board of Directors, Andrew serves as a co-trustee of Pitcairn family trusts, is Chair of the Nominating and Governance Committee, and is a member of the Capital Committee. He also sits on the Trustee Committee as an invited guest.

Andrew has been an owner and operator of small businesses from 1999 until 2009. He serves as a Trustee on the Meadowbrook School Board of Directors, a non-profit organization, and is a member of the Advisory Board at St. Joseph’s University Haub School of Business. Andrew also serves as an Independent Director for a single family office and chairs its Governance Committee. Andrew attended Temple University and has completed the Cannon Trust Fundamentals course.
